Meet Princess

2020 Jun 28 - Yes, she's still available. She is doing well, insistent that the lap she claimed is hers for the duration, LOL. She is a very sweet cat. She's been with us since late 2010.

Sept, 2019 - Princess is doing well. She would still rather be in her own home without other cats. She has managed to train most of them to leave her alone, but it's been a lot of work :) She is sweet and a great lap warmer. .

December, 2018 - well, it's almost December as I write this Princess is doing well, She's slimmed down a bit, looks good. She claimed my lap watching TV the other night; none others allowed except near my feet or elbow; no lap sharing for this girl. She wants her own loving home.

July, 2018 - Princess is still a lover; once she claims your lap it's hers for the evening (unless you *tell her* to leave). She tolerates the other cats, and is fine with the dogs. She eats well, and likes interactive play. She would prefer her own private loving home where she can relax on her own or enjoy "her" people.

July, 2017 - Princess has adapted well to the oral surgery, and is doing fine in community living. She has no "best buds", but tolerates the others and the dogs. She still loves to lay in your lap. She wants her own loving home.

Jan 2016 - Princess is doing well. She eats fine & so far has had no problems with her mouth. She is as loving as always, just wants to lie in your lap & purr.

Sep, 2015 - We had to have most of her teeth removed, but she has recovered and is doing very well. She is still very lovable, loving, but not overly demanding. She would love to be an only cat, but she will tolerate other felines. She also tolerates my small dogs (terriers). She deserves a loving home of her own, and requires a canned food diet.

Mar, 2015 - Princess has "stomatitis", a condition that causes mouth inflammation from tartar on her teeth. We had several teeth extracted and she's doing well. She's still quite the lover, and doesn't leave your lap merely because you re-arrange your legs. She is a great cat, and deserves a loving home of her own.

Oct, 2014 - on our recent vet visit we found Princess has a problem with her teeth. She will eventually lose them all due to genetics. She will be fine, but may need a bit more attention to her oral health. She's on a round of antibiotics now, a stop-gap measure until I understand better what dental attention will be best for her. She still loves people and wants her own loving home where she can cuddle with you without sharing your attention with other cats. She's a great lap warmer!
Aug, 2014 - Princess wants her very own people. She doesn't want to share your attention with other cats. She loves laying in your lap while you watch tv or lounge. She's fine with small, well-behaved dogs too. Do you have a perfect home for this well-behaved regal lady?
Jan/Mar 2014 - Princess is such a sweetie. She loves people, loves to lay on your lap, loves to sleep with you. She would love her own caring, loving home where she's the only kitty. She tolerates small, well-behaved dogs too.
Nov, 2013 - Princess likes to sleep with you; likes to snuggle in your lap as you watch TV, she'll even let you prop your book on her! She needs a loving, caring home of her very own. She would prefer not to share your attention, but will tolerate other cats (and dogs) if properly introduced.
Jan, 2013 - Princess is doing well. She LOVES to cuddle with you. She also likes to lay in the sun, snuggle with you, and play interactively with you. She needs a loving, caring home of her own.
October, 2012 - Princess would prefer to be an "only". She loves to lay in your lap or on the bed with you. She needs a loving, caring home of her own.
August, 2012 - Princess is such a lover. She loves to snuggle with you, preferably in your lap or beside you in bed. She tolerates other cats and small dogs, but doesn't enjoy their company. She likes to play with wand toys or string interactively with you, and sometimes goes wacky with a soft mousie toy on her own. She no longer wants to go outside, just watch from the window or lounge in the outdoor enclosure. She needs a loving home of her own. Can you provide the caring home she deserves?
8/23 - Princess has adapted to other cats sharing her space. She is not fond of the other felines, but no longer hides or hisses. She loves to lay and cuddle with you. She enjoys playing with soft "mousies" and has learned interactive play with you using wand toys. She loves to lay in your lap or beside you in bed. She is not impressed by the laser light. Princess needs a loving home, preferably as the only feline. She wants all your attention. Can you provide the loving, caring home she deserves?
5/16/11 - Princess has decided that small, cat friendly dogs are ok! No best friends mind you, but she's willing to let them share her space. She still hates other cats, and *loves* humans though. Can you be her very own human?
4/14 - Princess is doing well. We've been able to open windows and she just looks out; no longer tries to escape. She *likes* the comforts of indoors. She's quite the lover and would like her own loving home. She wants all your attention, so no other cats or dogs, please.
2/26/2011 - Princess is quite the lover. She likes to lay in your lap and cuddle and roll around for you to pet all sides of her. She likes to sleep with you. She's inquisitive, although initially shy with new people. We don't know how she is with children. She's become a bit more tolerant of other animals since her babies were adopted, but demands that she be the boss. She would do best as an "only" pet. The *loves* receiving attention from you, and has a purr that just won't stop. She likes the laser light and rod toys. She's less interested in darting out every door or window, too. Can you provide the loving, caring home she needs?
1/4 - Princess is doing well. She loves people, and canned food. She nibbles on dry kibble throughout the day, but any canned food in any dish is fair game to her. She's playing interactively with fishing rod/wand and laser light toy. She's small, should be about 7 lbs. but she keeps eating the kittens' food so she's become a bit plump. Very very loving, huge purr. She loves to lay in your lap and purr while you stroke her. She wants to be queen of the house; she does not like most other cats. You'll have to watch her or provide an enclosed outdoor area for her to visit -- she's quite the door darter & window escape artist, so an adult home would be safest for her. She needs lots of loving attention, and activity to avoid boredom. 10/22/2010 - Princess was rescued from a terrible neglect situation with 5 very young babies, about 4 weeks ago. She and they were in extremely bad shape; 3 of the babies died within days of their arrival at the rescue (first babies ever lost here, it was heartbreaking). Princess barely weighed 5 pounds, was suffering from a bacterial URI and intestinal infection, and parasites of all kinds. She's not even a year old herself. Now she's gained weight, is parasite free, has been spayed, had her shots, tested negative, and is micro-chipped. Princess is a little lover with a big purr. She adores humans (not sure about children), doesn't much like other cats or dogs. She's learning to play with toys, but really likes to be held, petted, and cuddled. She is quite the escape artist and door-darter and must be watched at open windows. She may outgrow this "dig the corner of the screen" to escape habit, but may not. She's a loving, talkative beauty with delusions of world travel. She needs lots of interesting things to do inside, or safe access to outside (enclosed cattery would be ideal). Can you provide the safe, loving home she so deserves? PLEASE READ HOW TO ADOPT on my main Petfinder page. Please phone for an appointment if you can provide the loving home she deserves.
