Prince Humperdink ("Dinky") Domestic Short Hair Richmond, KY

Meet Prince Humperdink! Unlike his namesake, Dinky is a sweetheart through-and-through. He is a low-key, affable gentleman who just wants a chill home to hang out in and a human to cuddle with. He's just as happy inside his kennel as out of it; sometimes he needs a little prompting to come run around with the others, but once he's out, he's happy as a clam strolling around and sticking his nose into everything. Dinky has to check out every nook and cranny to make sure everything is up to code. When he's done, he'll plop down in a sheltered place, like on a shelf or under the desk, and just take it easy while the younger cats run and play. He doesn't really seek out human attention, but will let us come to him. He loves chin scratches and ear rubs.

Dinky was previously starved, so he is very food-motivated. He'll gobble down whatever we put in front of him. He'll even willingly swallow pills if he knows he'll get a treat afterwards. Wet food is definitely the key to his heart - the more gravy, the better!

Dinky is FIV+. However, FIV+ cats can live healthy and normal lives when kept indoors and with regular exams. Dinky does well with the other cats at the center, so we think he would still be okay living with one or two with a slow introduction. We think he would be fine with older children. He has not been tested with dogs.

Dinky is estimated to be 5+ years old as of July 2024. He has been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. With an approved application, his adoption fee is $10.60
