Poppy's Story

Meet Poppy!!

Poppy is a 5-month old spayed female, she is microchipped and up to date on her vaccinations.

Poppy is a gentle, shy girl who just needs a little time and patience to show her sweet side. Once she’s comfortable in her surroundings, she blossoms into a loving and curious companion. She absolutely thrives in the company of other cats and will need to go home with a friendly feline friend who can help her continue building confidence.

Poppy isn’t a big snuggler, but she does enjoy quiet cuddle moments with her foster mom — she’ll happily relax in her arms on the couch for a bit before calmly hopping down when she’s ready for alone time. She would do best in a calm, low-key home with a cat-savvy adopter who understands shy kitties. Any children in the home should be 8+ and gentle enough not to startle her.

Poppy currently lives with huskies who are very respectful of cats and doesn’t mind them at all, so as long as the dogs in her new home are cat-savvy and introductions are done properly, she’ll do just fine.

With patience, kindness, and the company of another confident cat, Poppy will reward you with quiet affection and the joy of watching her trust and personality grow every day.

If you are interested in adopting, start by filling out an application on our website and email it to frontdesk@couleehumane.com OR you can print and drop off in person: https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal?rq=application
