Meet Poppet

POPPET is a sweet and spunky male kitten about 5 months old. He is mostly black but he does have a small patch of white on his neck and belly. Poppet is very energetic and playful, and loves nothing more than running around the house in hot pursuit of his brother and other household cats. He enjoys human-controlled toys such as wand toys and feathers, but he is also very self-entertaining when presented with pompons, stuffed mice or other "chaseable" cat toys! When not playing, he can usually be found on someone's lap, curled up with another cat on the cat tree or in a sunny spot on the couch or in the middle of the floor! Poppet is not at all shy around familiar faces and he has no fear of dogs at all; while he does not seek out interaction with dogs, he is 100% tolerant of them. Poppet was born in foster care to someone's unfixed mama cat. His mother was surrendered to our cat rescue group from a home that had become overwhelmed with cats. As an active, sociable kitten, it is very prudent that Poppet be adopted in a household with another kitten (such as his siblimg PIPSQUEAK) or playful young cat for him to be friends with! Poppet's winning personality and combination of playfulness and affection might make a great addition to your home!

Poppet has been tested for feline leukemia and FIV (negative), neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and includes a free wellness vet visit with our vet partners. To meet Poppet in foster, submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at the store. A volunteer will contact you within 3-5 days for a possible meet and greet. The $165 ($300 for 2 Kittens) adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community. For more information, send an email to AdoptInfo@CatRescues.org or call 541-225-4955 option 1. ID#2104-C0182
