Meet Popeye
Popeye is a big chicken. He enjoys pets and attention while in his cage. When he's out of his cage, forget it, we can't really touch him. He ADORES other cats and would really make the ideal cat companion. He needs a family or person who understands they might not be able to touch him, but he still deserves to be loved and cared for. And who knows, in the right home, he might just become a totally different confident cat.  We have seen it happen before. He will also be one of those cats that will probably need to be sedated for vet visits. Sounds worse than it is once you get into a routine.
Popeye needs a home! He definitely needs another cat. A friendly, confident one would be best, so hopefully, Popeye could learn from that cat. We would recommend a cage in the beginning to get hands-on with Popeye; otherwise, you need to understand that you might never be able to touch him. Older, respectful kids who are not super loud and will respect boundaries are fine.
If you are looking to adopt and your cat at home is already your most perfect lap cat who is confident and outgoing, please consider a shy cat. They often get overlooked and it's just not fair. Again, sometimes they just need that perfect home situation and companion cat to get them where we want them socially.
Thank you for being so interested in adopting from Scruffy Paws Animal Rescue! If you see this post, we still accept applications for this cat(s)/kitten(s). Please refrain from emailing us regarding availability.
