Poet is a one year old beauty that is full of love. This sweet, affectionate girl was abandoned as a kitten and we believe, was mishandled as she was very apprehensive towards petting, especially in the head area at first. Even after all of that, she quickly began to trust again. Now she is ready for her furever home filled with warmth, safety and love. She is a bit shy at first, but warms up quickly. Poet loves being petted and brushed. She will happily rub against you, purring for attention. She is playful, independent, and always eager for affection. Her favorite toys are spring and mice toys. She would thrive in a home with older or calm children. She is a bit timid around other cats at first, but with patience, she warms up. She would also be perfectly happy as your one and only! Poet is ready to leave her past behind and find her happy ending. If you're looking to make a difference in a cats life, this is the one for you!
