What do turtles and our friend Poe have in common? Well, they both feel safe and happy in their shells! While Poe doesn't have a built-in shell like a turtle, he's really good at seeking out shell-like spots to enjoy his free time (at the shelter, Poe uses a large pet bed, turned upside down). Poe has settled in well at the shelter and will enthusiastically come out to say hello to staff members when they go into his cage. He's been an absolute love bug with some of the staff, in fact! He was also very well behaved at his recent vet visit. Poe is estimated to be about 5-6 years old and we think he will make an excellent companion for someone who is okay with his tendency to spend his down time in quiet spaces.
