Meet Pixie - Pending Adoption

Pixie is a delightful two-year-old lap girl looking for her forever home. She is helping her foster mom write this as she snuggles in her lap!

Pixie was born in approximately September 2020. At two years old, she has a lot of kitten-like energy but she settles nicely, too. She loves spending time curled up in her bed by a window. She is a very affectionate cat, both giving and receiving. You will never sleep alone again if Pixie has any say in the matter!

It didn't take long for Pixie to acclimate in her foster home. After a few days to decompress, she now has full run of the house. Pixie is currently in an adult-only home without any other animals. We don't know if she has been exposed to kids, cats, or dogs in her prior home. She was recently introduced to a young male cat and was quite unhappy about it, even though he did nothing but defer to her. Pixie rides very well in a soft-sided carrier for shorter trips. She has taken a car trip of about two hours in a small wire crate and did great. She barely made a peep.

Pixie will run if she hears loud noises but, overall, she's a confident girl. Pixie will occasionally go under the bed to chill but she owned the place quite quickly. She enjoys hanging out with you and supporting you in whatever you're doing. Pixie will signal her approval at bedtime when she drapes over your face and starts softly purring.

Pixie loves to play! Her favorite pastime is chasing a feather wand. She also enjoys throwing small toys around and a flopping toy fish also holds her interest. She regularly scratches on her cat tree as well as smaller scratching boards and posts. Even though Pixie enjoys and needs to scratch, she has not attempted to damage anything. She will nicely redirect if you let her know that something is not approved.

Pixie is a litter box champ. She uses it very regularly and appropriately. She loves her wet food and will eat her kibble when the wet is gone. She has a very sleek physique and will walk away from her food when she's had enough. Pixie is 9 lbs but looks much smaller when she curls up on her cozy throw. Her name describes her very well! She loves her water fountain and drinks very regularly.

Pixie is such a love! Her foster mom hesitates to call her a perfect girl but, honestly, she is such an easy keeper. Her only "negative" might be that she won't let you fold your laundry. When it's warm out of the dryer, she will find it and curl up for as long as you let her. She needs someone to play with her every day and offer their heart and lap. Pixie isn't pesty and will let you know that you're the best thing ever. She's great company, not very demanding, with a soft, sweet heart. Pixie will need brushing fairly often as dry air will dry her coat.

Pixie will thrive where her physical and emotional needs are met. You won't have a bad day with this sweet girl in your life.
