Pixie's Story
Pixie is an adorable kitten who was born around July 3, 2012. Pixie is as close to perfect as a kitten can get. She loves people, loves to play, is very cuddly and purry, and has an extremely easy going nature. Pixie has been extensively exposed to small and big dogs, adult cats, small & big children and senior citizens. Nothing fazes her and she loves everyone and everything.

Pixie would love to be adopted with her brother Gus or enter a home with other cats or dogs. She is such an active playful lady that she might not be ideal as an only cat unless someone is home much of the time to play with her.

Pixie will need to be spayed in November or December when she is 4-5 months old. Helping Paws will pay for the spay at our vet.

Pixie is one of the 5 "Surprise" kittens who were left in a box on a very hot day in early August outside the Helping paws shelter. Fortunately they were found right away and went to live in a foster home with very experienced cat/kitten people that day. All 5 of the Surprise kittens are black though many of them have salt and pepper fur. Pixie and her brother Dash (adopted) are both part Manx as they only have very short stubby tails. All of the Surprise kittens grew extremely fast and will probably be relatively big cats but in a long and lean way. They appear to be part Siamese - they have the triangular face, the ears and the build of Siamese cats.

The 5 Surprise Kittens are:

CLEO (female) - leader of the pack; loves to play, explore and cuddle (to be spayed in November - paid by Helping Paws) - ADOPTED!!
PIXIE (female) - Manx (no tail) - smallest of the litter but big personality & extremely affectionate (to be spayed in November - paid by Helping Paws)
DASH (neutered male) -Manx (no tail) - a cuddler - plays hard then will sleep in your lap - ADOPTED!!
GUS (neutered male) - Cuddle & purr machine, playful and pure personality
SPRINKLES (neutered male) - Most independent of the lot, loves to play & explore; salt & pepper fur - ADOPTED!!Call Helping Paws Animal Sanctuary at 239-283-9100 or if you'd rather just donate, our address is 10060 Mallory Pkwy E, Unit D, Saint James City 33956 or there's always our website www.helpingpawsanimalsanctuary.com
