Mercury in retrograde got you down? Well, meet Mama Pisces, a beautiful 2-year-old tuxedo cat who will surely bring a smile to your face with her sweet and attentive nature. She recently raised a litter of kittens and was a wonderful mama. And now it's her turn to be a pampered pet!

Every bit the typical Piscean, she has proven to be a loyal and loving fur companion who enjoys playing with running water and daydreaming out the window. She is shy at first but allow her some time to get comfy and a nice space of her own, and she will be weaving around your ankles and headbutting your face in no time! She LOVES her toys - and when you hear the ball going around the track and the fuzzy birds chirping, Pisces is awake from her nap. She is being fostered along with her kittens - Aries & Aquarius. She prefers a spot up high so she can watch all the action. She is respectful of the other cats in the home but often plays by herself or with her kittens - and she enjoys the company of humans. She would be her best cat self in a quiet home with older children. Pisces is a gentle soul cat, but give her a few chin and butt scratches and watch her go!

All adoption fees include spay/neuter surgery, microchip, rabies, and distemper vaccinations, proof of FIV/feline leukemia testing, flea treatment, deworming, and an exam by a licensed veterinarian.

Our shelter hours are by appointment only and are not open to the public. Many of our cats and kittens are located in foster homes. An adoption application MUST be submitted and approved before meeting our cats/kittens. We do this for the safety of our fosters and potential adopters.

Our adoption process includes the following:

1. Adoption Application
To be considered for this cat(s) or kitten(s), you MUST complete an adoption application:
- Through our website (preferred) at www.scruffypawsanimalrescue.org/
- Email a copy to scruffypawsanimalrescue@gmail.com
- Drop off a hard copy to either of our partner PetSmart locations (Johnston or North Smithfield)
- Mail a hard copy to Scruffy Paws Animal Rescue at 2944 Post Rd. Warwick, RI 02886

2. Veterinary Reference
Please call your vet ahead of time to give permission to release records to our adoption team. Out-of-state adoptions typically require an exceptional veterinary reference and are at the discretion of our adoption team.

3. Proof of Home Ownership OR Landlord Approval
If renting, the landlord's contact information must be provided so our adoption team can seek approval.

4. Home Visit
Please make sure you are located in our vicinity. We are based out of Warwick, RI. Due to COVID-19, we are currently doing virtual home visits until further notice.
