Philly Domestic Short Hair Sewell, NJ

Philly was wandering the streets of Philadelphia, when one night he waltzed right up to one of our volunteers. Deciding he was way too friendly to be a stray, she brought him home to try and find an owner. No one claimed him, so we started the intake process.

Philly is about a year old. He's on the chonky side, but very playful and will meow loudly for attention. He'll stare at you with his big, green, inquisitive eyes until you cave and give him all the head scratches and forehead kisses. He loves making biscuits and cuddling up to watch Netflix.

During the day, his foster mom works from home, so he lounges in the sunshine or bats a chirpy bird toy all around the room (which he'll leave in his food dish to show off a successful hunt). He sniffs the resident cats nose-to-nose through a baby gate and sometimes hangs out with one of them under supervision, so we think he would be fine in a home with other docile cats (no kittens) as long as there's a slow introduction.

He likes being picked up and held like a baby, likes belly rubs, and does pretty good for nail trims. He's very treat motivated and enjoys the finer things in life, like laying on a heating pad.

Philly is an amazing cat and we know that once you meet him in person, you'll fall in love immediately. Philly is currently in foster, but please submit an application if you'd like to meet him.
