Say Hello to Petey!!!!!
Petey was "surrendered" when someone brought Petey into PetSmart to be surrendered. We offered to help but the individual walked out of the store while getting paperwork and left Petey behind!! We immediately brought Petey into foster care and also to the vet. We found out that Petey was recently neutered and also tested positive for FeLV. This means that Petey can't be around other cats.
We're not sure how Petey got FeLV that's beside the point. Right now, we found the perfect foster for Petey where he can be king of the foster home rather than in a cage. And Petey is just loving the foster home. The foster mom works from home and Petey is loving the attention and love he's getting. Watch the video with him playing with the toys and see how he loves to chill and be cool.
FeLV+ cats do not need any special medicine or food for their condition. It just means that every day is a good day to be alive. And we think Petey feels like that every day.
