Meet Perfect Barn OR Garage kitties! We will bring to you!

Do you need some mousers in your barn - or garage? Right now it is cold, and all the rodents are moving inside...! This is the best time of year to relocate cats, and we will guide you in the process to give you the best chance of successfully acclimating them to ensure their survival. This is the perfect pair - young, curious, and likely to be excellent hunters!

When this young mother and her kitten showed up in René's backyard, she began feeding them. Her hope was that she would be able to gradually socialize them and either find a home or keep them as her own. Unfortunately, she now has to leave the area to care for an ailing relative and does not want to leave these kittens homeless, without food and shelter. While they are not truly feral, we would call them semi feral – they know humans as the source of their food and they stay close by, as you can see in the picture they come and look in the house for the humans. With the right person they could in time become socialized inside, but they could also do well in a safe barn or garage home if acclimated properly. Here is what René has to say about them:

These young cats are not tame, just very curious . They will pull away if I try to pet them. One kitten is older than the other and could have been a very young mother? At this stage these kitties are shy of humans and cannot be picked up, but they are young and with the right home, they could possibly be indoor pets. However, they could also do well in a barn or garage home if acclimated carefully.

These two cuties will be spayed and vaccinated on February 11. Their mom is leaving the following week and is hoping to have a home lined up to be able to take them directly from their clinic time to the new home for recovery and beginning the process of adjusting to new people. Rene is in Kitsap county, near Kingston, but will transport to wherever their new home will be. If you are interested in these young cats please contact René at grassrootsrescuewa@gmail.com

(** please note, they are listed as spayed and vaccinated because they will be before going to their new home)
