Meet Percy
Percy is an approximately 8-month-old affectionate, easy-going and playful young cat. He enjoys being close to his foster family and spends most of the day hanging out near his foster mom (who works from home) and the resident dog. He enjoys being pet and will seek affection. His foster family picks him up to pet him regularly. Percy sleeps on the teenager’s bed at night. He will also follow various people around the house and hang out where the family is.
Percy loves interactive toys, especially wand toys. He also enjoys batting toys around and cat nip toys. He likes trying to engage the resident cats and dog in play. He also likes napping in comfortable spots.
Percy is fed dry food in the morning and at night before bed. He generally has a few play sessions throughout the day with his fosters and will spend the rest of the day exploring and napping.
Percy does have bursts of energy and will need appropriate play to keep him happy and occupied. He will sometimes play bite the humans, but will stop with positive redirection, i.e. giving him an appropriate toy to play with. He would probably be best suited to go to a home with older kids who can pick up on his body language and redirect his attention when playing.
Percy currently lives in a foster home with 4 humans (including a pre-teen and teen), 2 older male cats and a cat-friendly dog. It did not take long for Percy to acclimate to his foster home. Although it was reported that he had never interacted with a dog before, he had no problems walking right up to the resident dog, a 70-lb. hound mix. He has also warmed up to the resident cats quickly.
Percy's ideal home will be able to provide him plenty of attention and affection.
