Meet Pequena
Pequena is a petite beautiful girl who survived on the streets for most of her young life until she came to our rescue. Despite that, she is very friendly and social and loves to be petted. She is very food motivated and very affectionate. She is not vocal. She is great with other cats and with dogs.
She is currently in Oklahoma where she was rescued but can only be adopted out of state. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport locations listed below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take her in or she will go back to Oklahoma on the next transport until a new home is found.

Vetting: spayed, microchipped, rabies vaccine, FeLV/FIV tested, FeLV vaccine x 2, FRVCP vaccine x 2 (minimum), on monthly flea/tick/intestinal worm/heartworm prevention.
Adoption fee: $350 (includes the $200 cost of transport from Oklahoma)
A lot of shelters/rescues do not test for FeLV/FIV and consequently also do not vaccine for it. But we do. The cost for the test and 2 vaccines is $150. So the cost of that plus the $200 cost of transport is the equivalent of the adoption fee. It does not include their spay/neuter, rabies vaccine, microchip and anti-parasite prevention. Not to mention the cost of food, gas to get to/from the vet, gas to get them to transport and the cost of any other medical needs they may have had. So if the fee seems high, please understand that the cost of saving cats from death is much higher and also that you will have peace of mind about your cat not having or getting leukemia. Getting all the vetting listed above done at a vet with non-rescue rates and in northern states where vets tend to be double or triple the cost as down here would be much more expensive than $350.
