Meet Penny
Penny is 9 months old and was found and rescued by someone who could not keep her. She was brought to our shelter for care and placement. We know next to nothing about Penny’s history, only that she was living in the wild for a time and that she enjoys the companionship of humans. When she arrived at the shelter, Penny had a strip of fur missing from her back. The area doesn’t appear to hurt, and upon vet examination was determined to be a remnant of a minor injury from her time as a stray.
Amongst our cats, Penny is somewhat shy; based on her behavior, staff believes she may have been bullied by other cats in the past. With humans, however, Penny is a lovebug! She enjoys getting pets and sitting up high on the various perches in her room. When you look at her, you might notice that she looks a little lopsided; that’s because one of her ears is slightly smaller and floppier than the other! This is simply a cosmetic feature and makes for the most adorable expressions and head tilts. Her green eyes are absolutely darling and beautiful. This kitty is ready for her forever home!
We're open Wednesday - Sunday 12 - 5 p.m but are doing meet & greets and adoptions by appointment only.
The adoption fee is $85 which includes a free veterinary exam within 2 weeks of adoption at local participating vets, up to date vaccinations, test for FELV/FIV, dewormer, flea preventative, microchip, & spay or neuter.
