Oh, hello, dear. So glad you are reading my biography. My name is Peepers, but I like to be called Miss Peepers. After all, I am 15-years, 7-months-old, and you wouldn't call your granny by her first name. I am a petite Tortoiseshell lady whose owner's health began to fail, so in October 2024, I was surrendered to the HSHC. I've lived in two foster homes, most recently on April 10. My latest foster mom (FM) has been kind and accommodating. You see, I have diabetes, which required some special treatment, but she managed it quite well. I didn't mind the insulin shots, but having my blood tested was not my favorite way to spend time! The great news is I am on my way to being in remission! This means I will no longer need insulin, but it can be well managed on my diabetic diet. FM is proud of my impeccable litterbox manners. She also understands that I will retreat to a hiding spot when necessary because I am relatively shy. I am much more comfortable now and will come out with some sweet talk. I love being petted and having my chin scratched. I enjoy lying close to (FM) and sleeping beside her at night. One request, please do not grab or pick me up; I don't like being cat-handled. My favorite thing is a good nap on soft, fluffy blankets or a pillow as often as possible. My boisterous, playful days are behind me, but I enjoy it when a fishing pole toy with a feather is tossed before me. I like a predictable routine and a relatively quiet home. Small children are not my cup of tea. My foster mom says I am a "sweet companion" with beautiful green eyes and a velvety soft coat. You'd like to meet me if you have a soft spot for little old ladies! I'll put the kettle on. 6-2-25
