Hello, I'm Peekaboo! I was brought to the shelter after having been put out in the bitter cold and snow. That was so frightening and I am glad to be where it is warm and safe. Right now I feel safest in my hidey while I contemplate why my life has turned upside down although I'm getting braver by the day! I would do best in a quiet home with someone who will be patient with me while I learn to trust again. I do love having my head and cheeks gently scratched once I get to know you, I'm just so excited to get love and attention! Are you willing to give a gentle soul a second chance?

Great Plains SPCA's Adoption Policy

We are open for adoptions, no appointment necessary, Wednesdays through Sundays from 11am-7pm. On Monday and Tuesday, we are available for adoptions by appointment only. -We recommend (and in some cases require) that all members of the household meet the pet prior to adoption. -Great Plains SPCA runs background checks on adopters and adults in the home over 18. -Great Plains SPCA requires all visitors to wear masks that cover the nose and mouth at all times while inside our buildings. Our expert matchmakers look forward to finding you the perfect furry family member! Adoption Requirements: - Adopter must be 18 years of age or older. - For the safety and health of our animals, we do not ship pets. - Pet adoption fees range from $60 to $450. Our adoption fees help to offset the cost of evaluation, housing, feeding and medical care for the thousands of animals needing our help. We do our best to keep our adoption prices reasonable while generating income to support our goal of caring for animals available for adoption until we can place them in a loving home. The adoption fee for each animal varies and is dependent on many factors including: age, size, behavior, medical condition, and public demand.
