Meet Peanut (Bean)
Peanut (Bean) is a sweet kitty with orthopedic special needs. She is a black long-hair with white markings on her tummy.
She was born with foot deformities in all four legs. She has no "toe beans" and her claws do not retract. Through physical therapy and lots of love, she is able to walk, run, jump and play like any other kitty.
She will need an experienced adopter. Because her claws do not retract, they need to be trimmed weekly so that she doesn't get caught up on rugs, blankets, and other soft surfaces. We continue to work on litter training her. She doesn't like the texture of litter on her feet, and prefers to use "pee pads." She will use the litter box when placed in it, and we continue to experiment with different types of litter and litter boxes to find one that she can get in and out of easily. She has gotten much better as she has gotten older and is more mobile.
She is otherwise a healthy, loving, purring machine and gets along well with other kitties. She is playful loves feather toys and her Tower of Tracks toy. She will do well in a house with other kitties and older children who can be gentle and patient with her.
