Paxton (bonded with Pandy)'s Story

***Paxton and sister Pandy are a bonded pair seeking a family of their own together.

A super shy but really super affectionate tabby boy, Paxton is cautious and shy in new environments and around people he doesn’t know yet. Initially, he may take a while for him to warm up, but given time and patience to become familiar with the people in his space, he then relaxes into an ultra affectionate cuddle bug who loves loves LOVES getting endless head scritches! As he leans his whole being trustingly into the petting hand, the joy on his face is truly a sight to see! Paxton enjoys climbing up onto laps (even if it interrupts whatever his humans may be doing) and sleeping in the same bed as his people. Of course, this is done entirely of his own volition and no human decision to try and pick him up is ever required. Paxton is in firm control of the when, where and how, as this silly boy loves on his own terms.

Once he is comfortable within his space, Paxton’s curious and playful mind kicks into overdrive. Some of the favourite things he enjoys doing include thieving and chasing away pesky hair ties, eating yummy wet food, and rolling blissfully in catnip. And don't forget the head scritches!!

Paxton spends a lot of his time with his sister and best buddy Pandy. The two love to hole up together and play with one another, often seen cuddling or grooming each other, and sometimes wrestling it out during zoomies. Paxton is more open to other cats than Pandy, but doesn’t like any critters who try to aggressively enter his space, which can send him into a defensive hissy fit.

This silly, but at heart a sweet boy, is looking for a quiet, loving, preferably child-and dog-free home to call his own. With Pandy as a trusted companion by his side, Paxton is ready to fully demonstrate his ability to adapt, accept and accommodate any situation; as long as the people are gentle, patient and generous with time, treats and head scritches.

Would you like to make Paxton and Pandy a part of your family? Please complete our online application found at: https://www.avacats.org/adoption-application-form.

Our adoption fees cover vetting and include spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines (initial FVRCP and rabies), flea treatment, two dewormings and microchipping.

Adoption fees are $250 for each adult cat 1 year or older. Please note that fees may apply for additional required vaccinations (at $75 per booster) due prior to adoption. Total adoption fees will be confirmed by the AVA Adoption Coordinator.
