Pandy (bonded with Paxton)'s Story

***Pandy and Paxton were rescued from a colony when they were 6 months old, in order to give them a good chance at a forever home that did not involve the unpredictable outdoor colony living. They are looking to join a family together as a bonded pair.

A very expressive tabby girl with a shy streak, Pandy is instinctively cautious and timid as her first line of defence, and needs time to settle and be comfortable with new people and spaces. Similar to brother Paxton, once she’s familiar with the people around her, she becomes a rather chatty and needy diva with a flair for the dramatic. Pandy loves watching what’s going on around her and getting scritches on her own terms, even willing to allow belly rubs if she’s feeling especially relaxed and friendly! She is a stickler for routine too, and will gladly remind her people what time dinner is at, and even yowl at them to go to bed on time! Who needs a smart watch when Pandy is perfectly capable?!

Pandy may be shy, but that doesn’t mean she spends her day hiding. She enjoys batting at wand toys, eating treats, picking apart cardboard boxes, and giving people ‘the stare’. All in a day’s work. This adorable, pouty-lipped girl with tiny white toes is more loving than she likes to let on, and no one is fooled for a second.

Much of her time is spent with her brother and bonded buddy Paxton. They like to hole up together, plot mayhem and world domination, cuddle or groom each other when feeling relaxed, and wrestle it out during zoomies when the energy level is high. Pandy however, isn’t super receptive to cats she doesn’t know; and while she’ll tolerate them being around her, she can get rather hissy and stressed if they invade her personal space. She would do best in a quiet, child- and dog-free home. All she needs is Paxton.

Pandy is really a softie cloaked with defensive armour that quickly falls away to reveal the girly girl eager to be loved. She responds readily to a soft voice, slow hand, and persistent demonstrations of goodwill. Seeing her blossom slowly but surely with patient handling is a most heartwarming reward. It may take her a while to fully trust, but when she does, she is yours for life.

Would you like to make Pandy and Paxton a part of your family? Please complete our online application found at: https://www.avacats.org/adoption-application-form.

Our adoption fees cover vetting and include spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines (initial FVRCP and rabies), flea treatment, two dewormings and microchipping.

Adoption fees are $250 for each adult cat 1 year or older. Please note that fees may apply for additional required vaccinations (at $75 per booster) due prior to adoption. Total adoption fees will be confirmed by the AVA Adoption Coordinator.
