Meet Ozzy

Ozzy came in with his house brother Shady.  He is ten years young though you'd never know it.  He is one beautiful, loving, sweet boy.  His owner decided to move to be closer to work but apparently couldn't find a place that would accept cats.  REALLY REALLY a shame for Ozzy and Shady.  How does one decide to turn over their TEN and FIFTEEN year old cats???

Well, they are safe with us and now hoping that someone will look beyond their age and see what a great opportunity owning an adult, even senior, cat can be.  Ozzy is mellow and loving.  Doesn't get the kitten crazies or behave badly.  He feels he has a lot of life left in him to share with someone.

Lots of people are afraid to adopt an older cat because they worry about becoming so attached and then something awful happens to the cat.  There are no guarantees in this life.  Sometimes young cats or kittens appear healthy only to have something unforeseen crop up.  The folks who do adopt senior cats will tell you that there is no greater honor.

Please, consider offering a senior a home.  What you'll receive will be so worth it.

And hey, look at Ozzy's poor brother Shady, he's fifteen.  I don't care how nice any shelter is, it is NOT a place for a cat to have to leave their only home and live the rest of their days out.
