Meet Oscar

Oscar is such a fun name we are tempted to use it every month! Who can't think of a famous Oscar? We hope our Oscar becomes someone's favorite this week and takes him home and makes him the happiest cat in the shelter. Our Oscar received the Irish version meaning 'champion warrior' to give him courage. He has been living on the edge of a neighborhood watching people come and go hoping someone would offer him a warm place to spend the night or even just notice him. This week a kind resident picked him up and drove him to the shelter on 3/9.
Oscar looks to have had some rough days outside with scars and scratches and he just loves to burrow into his warm fleece owl. He enjoys being petted. In several days we will get more photos when he gets enough naps to come out of his bed. He seems to be a gentle guy that would do well in a quiet home.

To apply for a cat or kitten, please fill out the adoption application from this page:

The Shelter is staffed primarily by volunteers so adoption meetings take place on Saturdays by appointment. Our adoption fee for adult cats is $125 if 5 years old or younger and $75 for cats 6 years and up. The adoption fee includes the first set of vaccines, dewormer, microchip, testing for FeLV and spaying/neutering.
