What is Humane Society of North Iowa’s adoption process?

COVID STATUS: Due to COVID-19, the Humane Society of North Iowa remains closed to drop-in visits, but we are OPEN for adoptions! (by appointment) All adoptable animals are listed online on Petfinder and on our website (hsni.org). If you send us an inquiry through Petfinder, we will send you a reply with further instructions on how to submit an Adoption Application. Once your application is approved, we will call and schedule a time for you to come to the shelter to meet your new best friend! If you are uncertain of who you would like to adopt, or would like to meet multiple candidates, please schedule an appointment through our self-scheduling volunteer appointment option. We appreciate your patience during this time. There has been an overwhelming interest in pet adoption during this pandemic, and it is taking staff a bit longer to properly review applications and conduct interviews. THANK YOU!! Take care! _________________________________________________________________ The Humane Society of North Iowa adopts hundreds of animals each year to loving, qualified homes. To adopt an animal from us, you are asked to submit an Adoption Application. Adoption fee covers the following veterinarian services: spay/neuter surgery, all age appropriate vaccinations, flea and dewormer treatment, feline leukemia test in cats, heart worm test for dogs. Adoption Fees: Felines: Kittens (under 1 year): $115.00 Adult Cats: $105.00 Senior Cats (over 10 years): $ 90.00 Canines: Puppies (under 6 months): $175.00 Adult & Puppies (over 6 months): $150.00 Senior Dogs (over 7 years): $110.00 Have you found an animal you would like make your new best friend?
