Meet Onyx — the former street-smart survivor turned indoor snuggle-enthusiast. When Onyx first came to us, he wasn’t using his right front paw thanks to a bite-wound abscess. But with treatment, time, and the kind of dramatic flair only a cat can pull off, he made a full recovery. Yep — the paw works beautifully now. He’s back to trotting, pouncing, and insisting on being the center of attention. Despite his rough start, Onyx is one of the sweetest, most grateful boys you’ll ever meet. The moment he realized he never had to sleep on cold pavement again, he turned into a purring, head-butting, bed-hogging gentleman. Onyx is also FIV+ — but don’t let that scare you. Many FIV+ cats live long, happy lives with proper care, and Onyx is currently showing zero symptoms. He’s ready for a home that sees his heart, not his status. Don't worry if the pet you are interested in gets removed from Petfinder in the meantime, we will move pets to "adoption pending" at times when processing applications. If you have not heard back from Pawsibilities within 72 hours, please feel free to contact us at Calliepawsibilities@gmail.com for an update. ***Please if you have a current or previous vet, list the vet's name and contact number as this will make the process quicker; maybe even call the vet's office to let them know they can provide information to us as many vet clinics need pre-approval from their clients. ***Please provide us with the name the vet records would be under (human name and furry friend) if those names differ from the names on he application. ***If it's a weekend or holiday, you can send copies of your records to us by email at Calliepawsibilities@gmail.com so we don't have to delay the process by waiting for the vet office to open. We do adopt out of state in many circumstances; when this occurs we do prefer our adopters come meet their adoptive furry family member in person. However, we do transport to other states as well and the adopter covers any transport charges. ***We are a foster-based program only so there is no physical facility. ***We do prefer to have an application on file before setting up Meet and Greets.
