Meet Ollie
Ollie is a domestic shorthair that was born around August 2019. He has had quite a journey with us recovering from eye health problems. After two eye surgeries, seven trips to the ISU Veterinary Medical Hospital in Ames, and recovery time in a foster home, he's now waiting for the next chapter of his life to begin in a loving forever home.
Ollie has been a real trooper throughout the whole process. He is a purring machine, very confident, friendly, and affectionate. He loves attention, and loves playing with toys! He can see but his vision is impaired due to the corneal ulcers he had before treatment, so he should remain an indoor kitty for his own safety.
Ollie also has feline leukemia, and either needs to be the only cat or kept separate from other cats in the house.
His adoption fee is $75. This includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, treating for earmites, worming, flea treatment, and microchipping. If you would like to meet Ollie, please come to the shelter at 22407 Bus Hwy 151 in Monticello. Our hours of operation are Tuesday thru Saturday from noon to 6:30pm.
