Meet Olive & Pearl - Bonded Mini-Panthers
APPLICATION IS FIRST STEP!
Meet Olive & Pearl, minipanthers born approx Feb 13th, sweet and gorgeous sisters! They are a bonded pair and thrive when together, so naturally, they are looking for a forever home together.
These two beautiful kittens will be your best snuggle buddies! Since they were couple days old, they were indoors with humans and are always seeking people's attention. They are beyond social and love the attention of their foster dads.
When they are not asking for pets and scratches, they play kitten wrestling and sleep together. Their favorite activities are playing and seeking out attention from hoomans.
Olive and Pearl’s mama tested positive for FIV and passed antibodies to the girls. Kittens born to FIV positive mothers are at low risk for actual infection, although they often initially test positive due to the presence of maternal antibodies. Most often, once nursing abates, in time, the antibodies leave their system and they test negative. Unfortunately, the test for this virus checks for antibodies and not actual virus, so the test isn’t an accurate reading in these cases.
Don't let this deter from giving these girls a loving home. Even if they were truly positive, most cats with FIV live long healthy lives just like negative cats and studies have shown that most often the virus is slow acting and can take years to have a noticeable effect on health, if it even does. In fact, many cats never progress to the point of immune deficiency. You can read more about FIV and Kittens by copying and pasting this link https://www.fivcats.com/FIV/fiv_kittens.html
The girls are current with vaccines and will be spayed around 4 months old
