Meet Ol' Grey
[Ring … ring … ring …] Hello? Yes, this is Old Grey, OG for short. Well, I’m pretty busy writing my memoir, but I can take a couple minutes to give you a preview.
You know that saying, “Whatever doesn’t kill you makes you stronger?” Unfortunately, that’s not always true, but here’s my truth: Someone tried to kill me, but he did not kill my love for kind, loving people. When one of those good people found me, I was full of shrapnel and had two broken legs. Nevertheless, I purred!
I’ve been healing for more than three months now, and I'm still purring. I’ll never understand cruelty. What I do understand is love. Cuddles on the couch. Being petted. Good food. My snuggly cat bed. My cat tree. Good humans. Now I’m hoping for a home where I can live peacefully, surrounded by love.
Just one favor, if you’re telling your friends about me—if they already have a cat, please let them know I’m FIV+. Also, I’m scared of children and playful cats and dogs (but can live peacefully with other calm, older cats or dogs). I’m dreaming of a calm home where I can trust that I’ll live happily fur-ever after.
Thanks for calling. Say, would you like to take me home yourself? Then please fill out an adoption application at this website—http://www.animalalliesrescue.org/adoption-application—and choose me, OLD GREY!! My adoption fee is $50 and includes all of my routine vetting, rabies and distemper/parvo vaccinations, FelV/FIV testing, deworming, spay/neuter surgery, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention, and microchip.
