Meet Okie Dokie
Okie Dokie is about 10 years old but has lived an eventful life! Okie flew in all the way from Alberta to live with us! He and another cat were transferred from another shelter which couldn’t keep them as they both tested positive for FIV (Feline Immuno Virus)
This boy is amazing! After being on a plane, and then in a car for the rest of the journey to KP, he came out of his carrier and almost immediately settled in. He is a lively and confident fellow who just loves human company. He generally gets along well with his other roomies so he could potentially be in a home with another cat friendly cat, or he might be fine on his own as well in a home where his peeps are home lots to keep him company.
***Cats can live many years with FIV especially being kept indoors in a loving environment and with a healthy diet. At KP we have a foster program for these cats, whereby you provide the home and KP will take care of any medical care should the cat need to see the veterinarian. If this seems like something that might fit for you, then do come and see us! ***
