Nosey was found in an outside hot-tub in Waterloo back in 2016 along with her 3 kittens. She is up to date on shots, tested FeLV / FIV negative and spayed. She is living in a foster home.
Nosey is about 6 years old as of March 2021. She is friendly once she gets to know you. She's a sweet little girl then and she loves to be petted. She is not a lap kitty and she does not like to be picked up. She's a little talker. She does well with other cats. She has not been around dogs. A home with no children would be best.
It will take lots of time in a new home for Nosey. She must be started off either in a cage or a room alone. She will need space and time to adjust. And I do not mean an hour for time. I mean days, weeks, even months. She must have an experienced cat owner. And I do not mean a friendly experienced cat owner. I mean someone that has helped a scared or shy cat come around with time, love, space, and lots of patience.
Nosey's son needs a home too. His name is Skunk. He is very friendly.
Nosey's adoption fee is $95.00.
WE ARE A NO-KILL 501-C-3 NON-PROFIT RESCUE. All donations are tax deductible. We do not have a shelter. All pets live in foster homes. We only adopt to indoor homes. To see an animal, you must fill out an application first and then once approved, we can set up for you to meet the animal you are interested in. We do background checks on all applicants. If you have assault, domestic abuse, or drug charges please do not apply. If you have questions, please send an email to waverlypetrescue@mchsi.com
All animals see a vet for shots and normal exams. If they appear healthy and there are no obvious health concerns, then extensive testing is not done. This is normal procedure for pet rescues and shelters.
Waverly Pet Rescue puts a lot of money into medical care for each dog and cat we take in. $200 is the average cost for basic care. This does not include if the animal had an injury, required extra flea / ear mite treatments, or needed extra days at the vet office.
