Meet Nona

Our Nona is around 8 years old, born approximately June 2012. She come to us in the Fall of 2019 from a Trenton resident who had to go in to assisted living and couldn't take Nona or her housemates with her. All of the cats were very nice, and you could tell that they were very loved kitties from the moment they came into our care. The other three cats all found homes months ago. When we got the cats, Nona had a peculiar problem the other cats did not have, the lower half of
her body was pretty much bald, we had never seen anything like it. She visited our vet several times and we tried a number of different things to get her hair to grow back, no success. Then her foster family got some kittens to foster, and she started eating the dry kitten food (she doesn't care for wet food), and a miracle happened, her hair started growing back !!!! It's almost all back to normal and Nona is looking beautiful (we always thought she was beautiful though). We're not sure why the kitten food did the trick, but if feeding her dry kitten food works, that's a pretty easy thing to do. She loves to cuddle with people whether they're sitting in a chair or lying in bed. She loves attention from people. She likes to play fetch with small cat toys and occasionally chases her tail. She loved hanging out with the kittens in her foster home, and does fine with other adult cats, it just takes her some time to get to know them (like most cats). She is also just fine with dogs. Her housemates all got forever homes and we hope to get Nona hers soon too.

If you'd like to meet this cat or think this cat would be a good match for your family, please complete our adoption questionnaire at and let your references know someone will be contacting them soon. All our cats are neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed and flea-treated, tested for FIV/FeLV, and microchipped prior to adoption. Thanks for opting to adopt!
