Niles was a stray in Eldora, Iowa back in 2019 when we took him in. He was adopted in 2020 and now returned to us because they decided they are only a one cat home so are keeping their other cat. Niles is now a Waverly Pet Rescue kitty again. He is living in a foster home. Niles is up to date on shots, tested FeLV / FIV negative, and neutered.

Niles is about 5-years old as of June 2022. Niles is a big cat with a huge personalty. He is very friendly, confident, and sure of himself. Niles is also a big lover boy and will soak up all the attention he can get. He is a talker and let's you know what he thinks. Especially when it is time to eat. Niles loves to be petted and would let you do that all day if you had time. He enjoys being where you are and if you leave a room, he will follow. He is awesome with children, even toddler aged twins. He lets kids pet him and carry him around. Niles is very patient with all children. After bringing Niles home when we first got him, he wasn't scared at all. He walked right over to his cat bed and went in it. Niles has been very happy inside and loving life. Niles is an awesome cat! He would make a wonderful family pet!

Miles has met a few dogs while being in the kitty condo at Compassionate Pet Care. He seems to be ok with them when they come up to him. So it is very possible he will be ok in a home with a dog! Does well with other cats if set up properly and given time to adjust. Great cat! Loves children!

Niles's adoption fee is $95.00.

WE ARE A NO-KILL 501-C-3 NON-PROFIT RESCUE. All donations are tax deductible. We do not have a shelter. All pets live in foster homes. We only adopt to indoor homes. To see an animal, you must fill out an application first and then once approved, we can set up for you to meet the animal you are interested in. We do background checks on all applicants. All animals see a vet for shots and normal exams. If they appear healthy and there are no obvious health concerns, then extensive testing is not done. This is normal procedure for pet rescues and shelters.
Waverly Pet Rescue puts a lot of money into medical care for each dog and cat we take in. $250 is the average cost for basic care. This does not include if the animal had an injury, required extra flea / ear mite treatments, or needed extra days at the vet office.
