Meet Needles
Needles the three legged kitty, is incredible. So loving and cuddly. He came RIGHT to us when we rescued him.
He was rescued from an apartment complex when his former owner, who treated him like her baby by all accounts, was sent to prison.
A neighbor took him in because of his special needs, but more because he is so doggone sweet, only to put him outside to fend for himself once her husband moved out. The apartment folks then gave him shelter until we could get there.
In addition to having had a rear leg amputated, he has a stiff left rear leg, as x-rays show his leg tendons have been severed. He gets around well despite the injury. Though he won't win any races soon. But he's able to use his litter box and move about as he wishes.
Lastly, during intake he was tested for FIV/FeLV. Unfortunately he tested positive for FeLV, or feline leukemia. We'll post a link to info on it below. However, as a result of the FeLV, Needles will need to be an only kitty as it's very contagious. He is not currently showing any signs of the disease, and other than his leg situation, is very healthy.
Needles is counting on that special person out there, who wants just ONE kitty, to give him the home he so deserves. He's truly touched our hearts, and will no doubt touch yours if you give him a chance.
