Nansen Calico & Domestic Short Hair Mix Maple Ridge, BC

Nansen found herself homeless after her person passed away. She was found alone and scared by his side. The trauma she'd suffered was evident in the way she tried to hide from the people who found her.
Since she came to us Nansen has slowly relaxed. You can still see the sadness on her face but she's welcoming attention from the volunteers and even leans in for gentle kisses.
Nansen is about ten years old. She is nervous around small children and would do best in an adult only home. We are not sure about dogs but since she has never been around them, chances are she'd be happier in a home without a canine.
Nansen ignores the other cats in her room. She is a very independent cat who spends most of her time high up on a shelf watching the action from a distance.
Nansen is not a demanding cat and will be happy in a quiet home where she has a safe spot to retreat to, a bowl of canned food waiting for her, and a gentle human who doesn't need too much of that cuddling stuff.
Nansen can go into a home with another feline, but she is not a cat you would get as a companion for your existing cat.
This girl has had a rough start in 2022 and we are hoping the right person comes along so she can ring in 2023 in her new, forever home.
