Mullin! Super Cat Mullin - I don't quite think you understand. His fur is black and white, he's frickin' dynamite...You can now adopt Super Cat Mullin! And Carlotta!

While this Mullin may not be playing for Wrexham...or know Ryan Reynolds...this adorable little kitty and his buddy Carlotta have a fantastic comeback story, much like Super Paul Mullin and the Wrexham Red Dragons!

Mullin and Carlotta came to Scruffy Paws several months ago; you may remember our post about the Pampers Kittens (see video link!). Quite literally, a call from Providence Animal Control about a Pampers box stuffed with kittens left by a dumpster. And yes, it's a cruel occurrence we encounter too often - but these little furbabies have gone from a Pampers box to being pampered in their foster home with one of Scruffy's top foster mamas! They arrived scared and skittish, and after some foster boot camping, these two were ready to find their forever home!

Mullin is approximately 8 months old, and Carlotta, a gorgeous brown and white Ragdoll, is 11 months old. They are super chatty and vocal about when they want food and attention, which is all the time. Mullin can be overly affectionate and playfully swat when he wants more pets. Carlotta also enjoys getting pets and attention...but will get nervous with quick movements. They can be picked up...Carlotta likes it more than Mullin, though. They are anxious around new people, but Mullin will let his guard down quickly because he wants those pets! Just try snapping a pic of his cuteness - once he sees you, he charges at you for all the pets and chin scratches you can give! Carlotta, a bit of a diva in that respect, will act like she doesn't want you to pet her...but once you do...she goes crazy for it. She does not like to be cornered. Since they can still get nervous sometimes, we suggest having a cage or separate room until they feel comfortable in their new surroundings. In their foster home, they have been around other cats and a dog and have responded well to them. A home with older children would be best.

But, even if nervous - they still won't say no to food! Food is their love language - treats, wet food, squeeze-ups...pretty much any food. Playtime is all the time, and feather toys are their favorite. Mullin and Carlotta are a sweet bonded pair. They have had a rough start to life, and understandably, they need a bit of time, patience, and a lotta love to show them that not all humans are bad.

All adoption fees include spay/neuter surgery, microchip, rabies and distemper vaccinations, proof of FIV/feline leukemia testing, flea treatment, deworming, and an exam by a licensed veterinarian.

Our shelter hours are by appointment only and are not open to the public. Many of our cats and kittens are located in foster homes. An adoption application MUST be submitted and approved before meeting our cats/kittens. We do this for the safety of our fosters and potential adopters.

Our adoption process includes the following:

1. Adoption Application
To be considered for this cat(s) or kitten(s), you MUST complete an adoption application:
- Through our website (preferred) at www.scruffypawsanimalrescue.org/
- Email a copy to scruffypawsanimalrescue@gmail.com
- Drop off a hard copy to either of our partner PetSmart locations (Johnston or North Smithfield)
- Mail a hard copy to Scruffy Paws Animal Rescue at 2944 Post Rd. Warwick, RI 02886

2. Veterinary Reference
Please call your vet beforehand to give permission to release records to our adoption team. Out-of-state adoptions typically require an exceptional veterinary reference and are at the discretion of our adoption team.

3. Proof of Home Ownership OR Landlord Approval
 If renting, the landlord's contact information must be provided so our adoption team can seek approval.

4. Home Visit
Please make sure you are located in our vicinity. We are based in Warwick, RI. Due to COVID-19, we are conducting virtual home visits until further notice.

**Please note: Our volunteers try their hardest to contact every applicant in a timely manner but are often overwhelmed with a high volume of applications. Please allow up to two weeks for a response. We ask you to please be considerate and refrain from sending multiple follow-up emails or submitting duplicate applications.
