Meet Mr. Peaches
Mr. Peaches is a very friendly orange and white tabby male cat with very soft fur, who is approximately 4 years old. When he was found and brought to a vet with an abscess wound, rescuers discovered that he is a complete sweetheart, so he went to a foster home to recover. [His ear tip let us know that he was once a part of trap/neuter/return program.] Mr. Peaches is very affectionate. He loves to play and goes crazy for catnip! Always the gentleman, he'll give you a gentle tap with his paw if he's feeling overstimulated. At mealtimes he has a tendency to wind around your feet (he loves his food!) - therefore, he should not be in a home with someone who is at risk of falling. His ideal home would be a quiet one where he has time to acclimate to new surroundings, and where he has someone to snuggle up with at bed time. He has tested positive for FIV (the feline immunodeficiency virus), which means that he must be an indoor-only kitty for his lifetime, but with some precautions to protect his immune system, he will likely have a normal lifespan. The virus can't be passed to dogs or to people, and only to other cats through a deep bite wound. While he would be safest as an only cat, he does get along well with other mellow kitties. He was previously neutered, is up to date on vaccinations, is microchipped, has been treated for fleas and dewormed, and has tested negative for Felv - plus he comes with a free vet visit. Meet Mr. Peaches in their foster home with an approved adoption application which can be submitted online at www.CatRescues.org/forms or a paper copy available at either Eugene PetSmart, Wags! Dog Emporium or Petco (Valley River Dr). The $60 adoption fee allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community.
