Meet Mr. Kitty
Mr. Kitty is one tough cookie! The 2-year-old cat came to Suncoast Animal League in December 2020 with a limp. His spirits were high though and he moved around our cat room with little effort. He was lovable and easy to have around. But that leg needed to be tended to.
After a thorough examination at Paws & Claws Animal Medical Center, it was determined his shoulder was dislocated from a former injury. To ease the pain and give him full mobility, his leg would have to be amputated.
We put out a plea across our social media pages for a foster to care for Mr. Kitty after his surgery and new foster Michele reached out to us. With experience as a physicians assistant and already having a 3-legged cat at home, she was ideal. His surgery date was scheduled and his leg was amputated. Fast forward and Mr. Kitty is now fully healed and ready for his forever home. His doting foster mom wrote...
Mr. Kitty has been with me since the day after his leg amputation, which he amazingly handled like a CHAMP. He is fully recovered and in NO way does one less leg slow down his ability to have lots of kitty fun. When he’s not running around playing with my other 3-legged cat, he’s entertaining himself with one of his favorite cat toys, throwing it up in the air and chasing it.
Mr. Kitty is spunky yet sweet and he has the cutest almost kitten sounding meow. He is loyal, greeting me at the door when I come home from work and sleeping at my feet at night. He will certainly be a fantastic companion for whoever adopts him and will bring lots of joy and laughter into their lives.
Mr. Kitty is neutered, microchipped and up-to-date with vaccines. Interested in adopting him? Please email us at Adoptions@SuncoastAnimalLeague.org.
