MEET MR. BUTTONS!

Meet our 3-legged dreamboat, Buttons! This handsome guy is around 12 years old and was picked up as a stray in Philadelphia and brought to the shelter for care. Unfortunately, Buttons had a severely broken leg and desperately needed a rescue to help so City of Elderly Love gladly welcomed him so we could get him squared away!

Buttons had his broken leg amputated immediately after leaving the shelter and has recovered miraculously. It doesn't stop him from hopping on the couch, maneuvering the stairs, etc. Plus, he must feel so much better now that he isn't in pain all the time. Now that he's in foster care, we've really gotten to know his amazing personality! Buttons always greets his foster mom at the door and will do the same to you after a long day of work. He is currently living with other cats and is completely calm when meeting new cats, regardless of if they’re sniffing or hissing. He enjoys people the very most. He’ll curl up next to complete strangers if it means he gets so scratches. He loves food, treats, and catnip! Every once in a blue moon he’ll get a tad overstimulated and put his teeth on you to let you know it's time to stop, but he doesn’t actually bite. When he is especially happy, he tends to drool, which we find adorable. This healthy, resilient boy is ready to land his forever home!

Buttons is available for adoption through City of Elderly Love. He is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He is also FIV/FeLV negative and has had a dental cleaning! Interested in adopting him?
