Meet Mowgli
Mowgli and her brother Mochi came to HHR when their owner decided "they never fit into our family" an entire FOUR years after adoption. In the four years Mowgli and her brother spent in that home, they only saw the vet twice. Clearly her family meant their cruel words.
When Mowgli and Mochi arrived, they were VERY shut down and scared. Despite immediate vet care and treatments, Mochi did not survive. Perhaps if the cats had been receiving proper vet care, his health issues could have been detected and managed properly. Losing Mochi broke the hearts of our volunteers and truly devastated Mowgli. She shut down even further and we nearly lost her too.
Fast forward a few months, Mowgli is medically stable and ready for the type of home she has deserved her whole life. She is a nervous, sometimes sassy girl. Her ideal home would be with adults, but we do think she would benefit from a mellow feline companion and/or an adopter who works from home. We think having someone around consistently is the key to helping her settle and live her best life.
Mowgli is about 4-5 years old. She is spayed, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, microchipped, feline leukemia/FIV negative, and is current on flea/tick preventative.
