Meet Mouse

Mouse is a 1.5-year-old, charming cat looking for his forever home!

Mouse is one of the sweetest cats I've ever fostered. He can be a little timid at first, but he'll be asking for belly rubs within a day or two. He's the type of cat that likes to be in the same room as you. Mouse may be across the room giving you doe eyes or a quirky smile or he'll bound up to you with a quick squawk asking for pets.

Mouse is playful and loves to chase. He races my resident cats from one end of my condo to the other. He also loves to wrestle his buddies and typically wins! He's a bit of a soccer player, batting balls down my hallways too. Mouse celebrates his wins by diving head first into a bowl of food. He loves food but stays fit.

Mouse begins his day at 4 am with the zoomies. He can be a bit noisy but does not actively try to wake up the household. He just runs until he flops back in his cat bed. He'll jump up on my bed once he sees I'm awake for some pets and then happily saunters to the food dish for breakfast. He sleeps most of the day in the sun or in his special spot tucked away in his cat cave. Mouse will need his belly rubs in the evening before he chases his buddies around. Mouse can play independently, but he will need a somewhat active home where he can keep busy. A bored cat is a mischievous cat.

Mouse currently lives with 1 human, 3 young adult resident cats, and 1 other older foster cat. He does well with the younger, playful cats but gets stressed by the older cat who is a little more grumpy. Mouse does not read other cats' behavior well, so he'll need to be with a submissive, happy-to-see-him type of cat. He would be the type of cat that is easily bullied by other cats.

Mouse's ideal home would be with 1 or 2 adults and 1 young cat to be his buddy. He would do ok with older kids, but he can be timid and easily stressed when someone doesn't respect his space. He's fairly independent so he will not need his human family to be home a ton but he'll need cuddles and play when you're home.

Mouse has no issues with missing a back leg. He can move around freely, jump up, and does not seem to be in any pain. It appears to be a birth defect. As he ages, he may need more help getting around.

Mouse is an absolute delight and would be a wonderful addition to a loving home.

There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best estimate.

Adoption fees include a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.

All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Cats are up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow up visits and boosters that are not covered by Pet Haven after adoption.
