Moose's Story

**NOTE: All AVA kittens under 12 months of age MUST be adopted in pairs or to a home with another young cat. AVA does not accept applications for single kittens**

***Moose enjoys the company of other kittens matching his energy level and play style. More importantly, Moose needs to have his own people to imprint on.

Meet Moose, a gorgeously soft kitty with unique, two-toned fur!

Moose appeared shy at first, but has made amazing progress in such a short time. He’s now a super sweet boy who loves attention and affection. Moose makes biscuits, gives head butts, and enjoys curling up on laps. He’s very observant — he likes to watch the other cats, and once he sees that they’re comfortable, he’ll come over to join in for pets or cuddles.

He is always amongst the first to greet the morning and evening feeding times with adorable enthusiasm, and he absolutely loves to play! Feather toys, balls, springs — you name it, he’ll play with it! He has lots of energy but is also a very good boy with excellent manners. He eats well, uses the litter box perfectly, and has no bad habits to speak of.

Moose isn’t completely sure about being picked up yet, but he’s learning. If his foster mom taps her leg, he’ll come and sit beside her or climb into her lap. With time and consistent attention, he’ll be a full-on lap cat because he already seeks affection both from humans and from his feline friends. He especially loves cuddling with Papa Billy, a tolerant, good-natured ex-tomcat also up for adoption — it’s so sweet to see!

Trimming his nails is still a work in progress, but he’s improving as he grows more trusting. Moose loves treats (especially Churu!) and is becoming sweeter every day.

Moose would do best in a home with at least one friendly cat companion, as he really enjoys feline company. Any family would be lucky to have this affectionate, playful, and loving boy in their lives.

Would you like to make Moose a part of your family? Please complete our online application found at: https://www.avacats.org/adoption-application-form.

Our adoption fees cover vetting and include spay/neuter, first-round of age-appropriate vaccines at the time of adoption, flea treatment, two dewormings and microchipping.

Adoption fees are $275 for each kitten up to 12 months old. Please note that fees may apply for additional required vaccinations (at $75 per booster) due prior to adoption. Total adoption fees will be confirmed by the AVA Adoption Coordinator.

All AVA kittens 12 months or younger must be adopted in pairs or go to a home with another young cat (3 years or younger). Kittens learn from each other how to behave, which helps them turn into well-adjusted adult cats. In general, paired cats have happier and healthier lives because they have a constant companion and playmate. Plus, it’s twice the fun for you, and half the work!
