Moola was a stray in Waterloo, Iowa. No owner was ever found for her. She is now up to date on shots, spayed, and tested FeLV / FIV negative. She is living in a foster home.

Moola is almost 2 years old as of Sept. 2016. She started off shy and scared. But has warmed up so much! She is still pretty scared at times... Gets spooked easily... But is making herself right at home. Loves sleeping on my bed... Last night I woke up and she was curled right up against my side. She had even come up and rubbed on my legs for attention! I think this girl is figuring out that life inside is pretty ok! She does great with other cats and with dogs! Might be best in a home with older children.

5/21/17 UPDATE: Moola is a sweetheart! She has a very distinct "meow" and is very vocal! Moola loves to sit beside me... not on my lap... she is not much of a lap cat, however, she always sits RIGHT beside me! Same with sleeping in bed... every night she lays right up against my side. Rarely does she curl up... she most often sleeps stretched out long! She loves to chase toys... I discovered that her favorite toys to play with are small balls... be it small glittery ones or puff balls... she loves anything that she can bat down the wood floor hallway! You can't tell from the pictures, but she is short... she almost looks like she might have a little "dwarf" in her Her markings are distinct and her eyes are piercing! She is a real beauty! She gets along fine with the other cats in the house, and is not bothered at all by the dogs.

Will someone please adopt Moola and give her a forever home? $95 adoption fee.

WE ARE A NO-KILL 501-C-3 NON-PROFIT RESCUE. All donations are tax deductible. We do not have a shelter. All pets live in foster homes. We only adopt to indoor homes. To see an animal, you must fill out an application first and then once approved, we can set up for you to meet the animal you are interested in. We do background checks on all applicants. If you have assault, domestic abuse, or drug charges please do not apply. If you have questions, please send an email to waverlypetrescue@mchsi.com

All animals see a vet for shots and normal exams. If they appear healthy and there are no obvious health concerns, then extensive testing is not done. This is normal procedure for pet rescues and shelters.
Waverly Pet Rescue puts a lot of money into medical care for each dog and cat we take in. $200 is the average cost for basic care. This does not include if the animal had an injury, required extra flea / ear mite treatments, or needed extra days at the vet office.
