Montificus “Monte” McWhiskers at your service—but you can call me Monte for short. I love people and I’m looking for the purrrfect family to share my life with.

What can I say about myself? People like to describe me as an easygoing, laidback, mellow kind of guy. I love meeting new people and exploring new places. Since I’ve got a few years under my belt, I’d like to think I’ve seen a bit of everything and feel pretty confident that the world is a good place. Nothing really freaks me out these days. Other cats? Sure, no problem! Dogs? Don’t bother me! Oh, and did I mention how much I LOVE humans of all ages?

Though I’m an older gentleman, I’m still pretty active and spunky. I get around just fine and enjoy playing with some catnip toys or pouncing on a feather. My favorite way to spend the day is snuggled up next to my people. I’ll keep your spot warm on the couch, and when you get home I promise to greet you at the door. I definitely don’t mind listening to you talk about your day and letting you know I care by following you around and making sure we’re in the same room. I’ll also give you that special one on one eye contact so you know I’m totally focused on you. I just love to be close to my family and can’t wait to show you all the best ways to cuddle up together. I am the perfect work-from-home buddy!

I should mention that when the good people of PawsCo rescued me, it was because I was recently diagnosed with diabetes—and the shelter is no place for a diabetic kitty! Since I’m such a chill boy, this really hasn’t changed my life much. I need twice daily injections of insulin, but I don’t mind these and I don’t put up a fuss (and the cost is about $50/month). My buddies at PawsCo can go over all of the details with you! And then I also need to be on a special diabetic food to make sure my diet is supporting my diabetes diagnosis as well.

If you’re ready to find the love of your life email my PawsCo friends at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org or check out this information page: https://pawsco.org/adopt/adoption-process.
