Monkey came into Feline Lifeline's care when his owner was evicted and expressed intent to leave Monkey behind outdoors, on his own. Our volunteers then found a few cats left behind, but Monkey's story is the saddest. At approximately 11 years old, declawed, and overweight, he would not have survived very long outdoors on his own. Extremely friendly, Monkey appears to be a flamepoint or colorpoint short-haired cat with possible Siamese heritage. He has beautiful blue eyes! He weighs nearly 16 pounds and is a big boy! Because of this, he tends to lay around and snooze most of the time. However, he does enjoy being petted and held. Overall, he appears to be healthy and tested negative for FiV and FeLV. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and microchipped. He needs an owner willing to let him live out his golden years indoors where he is loved and cared for.
