Meet Monk
Monkey is an adorable little buff-colored boy with gorgeous blue-green eyes. He is 20 weeks as of 2/2/21.
He was found hanging out at the Bold Monk Brewery by himself begging for food on the patio every night. Luckily, a Good Samaritan scooped him up and took him to foster to socialize.
Since being in his foster home he has made huge strides and decided indoor life is for him! After breakfast he sleeps the day away, building up energy to explore and play before dinner. Monk loves a good box with a blanket to sleep in. To play, lasers, spring toys, and of course, playmates are his favorite!
Monkey was living the early months of his life alone, and is still figuring out how to “cat.” Now that he has become more confident he has discovered a kitty friend is the BEST thing - wrestling with them is his favorite activity! He follows the lead of other cats and for this reason needs to be adopted into a home with another young and playful cat.
Monk will need to be adopted by a patient and experienced person. Because of his rough start in life he is sometimes shy, emitting the occasional hiss. His transition to a new home may take a little bit longer. Monkey is used to being picked up and is accepting of being held, but to date hasn’t shown evidence of being a lap cat. Luckily his spunkiness allows for his big personality to shine through!
Monk has been in a foster home with a dog, and adult and teenage cats. Monk hasn't been around children but we believe he could thrive in a home with children who are gentle, sensitive and understanding of his personality.
He is neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and flea-free. He tested negative for FIV/FeLV.

We adopt kittens in pairs unless there is already another young cat in the home, Monk will definitely need a kitty buddy in his new home. Here is a great article explaining why we have this policy: http://www.kittenlady.org/twokittens
