Monetti and Mittens Maine Coon Weehawken, NJ

Gorgeous, friendly, male Main Coon cat “Monetti” and sweet, shy, one-eyed female “Mittens” (tabby) seeking their fur-ever home. Rescued from the street over a year ago/now super sweet!

Both kitties are young- estimated between two and three years old. Monetti loves to be brushed and petted- he rolls around and puts his tush in the air for scratches. Mittens and he are very bonded- they love to play and clean each other and watch bird videos on YouTube when not bird watching from the window.

These two love to be together and once you are settled on the couch they enjoy venturing out and about. Both were neutered, vetted/vaccinated and are fostered in Weehawken, NJ.

Ideal home would allow them to be the only pets and give them an area of a room to call their own so they can further come around to humans with attentive love and patience. However they do like other cats.

In regards to Mitten’s eye- it has been checked several times including by a specialist. They all said that unless it begins to change or look like it irritates her that there is nothing to be done and it does not need to be removed. It is surmised that she most likely lost it to an untreated infection as a kitten. It does not hinder her in any way and she has a cute way of tipping her head to look up at you.

Monetti has a slight heart condition that does not require medication. He also has a ligament issue in his front right paw that he holds up now and then from an old injury. This does not require treatment and doesn’t stop him from jumping or walking/running, etc.
