Meet Mitzi - Shy, Blue-Eyed Babe - VIDEOS
Please note:
Mitzi really needs to go to a home with her BFF, Murray. Mitzi was the true definition of a "feral cat" when she was rescued. She has come so far in her foster home, mostly due to her buddy Murray. She is a gorgeous girl who simply needs a patient, loving family AND Murray by her side.
Meet Mitzi
If you and/or your family are compassionate and patient people, shy Mitzi could be your dream girl. Mitzi came to the Rescue Train as a completely FERAL cat. She was trapped with several other cats in a feral cat colony by a local team of good Samaritans. These kind folks volunteer to help spay and neuter the cats in these colonies to help with cat overpopulation. Mitzi was roughly 10 months old when they trapped her. They thought because she was still young, and, quite frankly, because she was so pretty (probably a Siamese/Snowshoe mix) that they would try and socialize so she could be domesticated and live in a home.
Mitzi is still very, very shy. But she has become VERY bonded with another cat in her foster home, Murray. Murray has tried to teach Mitzi how good it is to be loved by kind humans. Mitzi now likes to come out and be part of the family (she spent the first two months hiding). But she is still scared to be pet. She will only let her foster mom and dad pet her when she is relaxed on the sofa and if the do not make direct eye contact with her. This is why we want her to go to a home with Murray. He is teaching her that people are okay and will not hurt her. Mitzi and Murray are bonded and would be great company for each other and their potential forever home. But that forever home must be special and really understanding of Mitzi.
Mitzi's BFF, Murray is a DREAM CAT. He is so social, talkative, loving and a happy family member. If you would consider adopting Misty & Murray together, we would really prefer this. We have posted a photo of Murray with Mitzi on this post. He is the handsome tabby with his paw out (to shake your hand) in his cat tree. Mitzi LOVES Murray and he LOVES her. It would be amazing if some kind-hearted person or family would adopt them both.
