Meet Misty

Are you looking for a quiet kitty who is independent but yet cuddly? If so, then Misty is your girl! She is about 8 or 9 years old and lived with her owner since she was a kitten. Sadly her owner passed away and she was left homeless. Lucky for her, her owner's neighbor ran a pet rescue and took her in so she didn't end up in a shelter. Misty was used to not only being an only kitty but an only pet and was her owner's only companion. She lived in a quiet home, but when she moved into her foster home she had a lot of change to deal with. She now has to learn how to live with other cats, a dog, and rambunctious children- all things she had never had to deal with before. She has lived with her foster since around July of 2014 and the beginning was pretty hard for her. She didn't understand why she had a new home and why she lived in such a louder home. It has now been long enough that Misty has acclimated to the new life she has had to deal with. She tolerates the dog, even though the dog likes to bark and she also is good with the kids, even though they are loud and run around a lot. The only part of the home she still is not a fan of is the other cats, but she has gotten a lot better. There is only one cat now that she has issues with but they both try to be the diva of the house. Misty is a sweet cat who ideally would love a home without other cats, but cat polite dogs and children she will be good with. She loves to cuddle and curl up in your lap while you watch a movie on the couch. She likes to sleep in weird places- like the cushion for the diaper changing table. Misty would make an amazing cat for someone. She deserves to find another owner who will make her the center of their world.
