Meet Missy Mae

Shhhh and go slow...I'm the shy and scared Missy Mae, and I really need a new family who can take their time with me. I'm just a little gal weighing in a five pounds, and since everyone wants to stare at my unusual face and huge eyes, it all makes me want to hide in the corner of my box! Maybe you've seen the famous old black and white "kit cat clocks," with the big-eyed cat who keeps time with rolling eyes and a swinging tail. That's me! Once I warm up (part of the trick is to carry me around like a baby), I'll roll over and let you scratch my belly. I've had a tough time lately, because my longtime owner passed away, and other family could not keep me -- I don't like young kids, nor do I like dogs. I've never been in a place like this busy shelter, and that's part of why I'm a little scared. If you are patient and quiet and have the magic touch with senior cats like me, then come on over and say hi (quietly) and decide that this week is the "time" to adopt me.
