Meet Minino

Two-year-old Minino is a strikingly handsome boy who was dumped by someone who simply didn't want him any more. It gets worse. While most cats who enter foster homes are somewhat frightened due to the uncertainty of their new situation, Minino was downright terrified to the point of fleeing if his fosters even made eye contact with him. While he shows no sign of ever having been physically injured, his behavior was consistent with having experienced abuse, almost as if he expects a violent touch rather than a gentle one. Through the kindness and patience of his fosters, he has made gradual progress. He spends less time hiding and more time playing with toys and hanging out with his fosters. What this little guy needs is a quiet home with patient adopters who are experienced with cats and will provide him with lots of gentle touches to continue helping him gain confidence and blossom into the treasure we know is in there. A small living area would be beneficial for this.

Minino has been:
- neutered
- vaccinated
- tested negative for FIV and FeLV.

His adopter will receive his medical records. There is a simple adoption process and an adoption fee so we can continue to help cats in need. He is being fostered in East Boston.

Cats can live up to 20 years, so give careful thought to the changes that are likely to occur in your life during that time. If you can and will commit to him and provide a safe, loving home for life, then respond to RoyCBarrows@gmail.com. Please include your phone number for a faster response and say a little about yourself and the home you would provide as we try to match people with the right cats.

For the safety of all concerned during the pandemic, meetings are virtual; fosters are supplying short video clips of the cats to potential adopters and/or connecting via video chat, and adopters are making their adoption decisions based on that. This has streamlined and improved the adoption process.
